Supercharger, dam of Super Saver, foals Tiznow colt


Supercharger, dam of 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver, foaled a colt by Horse of the Year and WinStar Farm stallion Tiznow on April 11 at Hill ‘n’ Dale Farm in Lexington, Ky. The bay colt was foaled at 11:50 p.m. Eastern and weighed 115 pounds at birth.

Supercharger, owned by Glen Hill Farms and Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings, joined Hill ‘n’ Dale’s broodmare band in 2012. The 18-year-old A.P. Indy mare is out of the Grade 3-winning Mr. Prospector mare Get Lucky and is a full sister to Grade 1 winner and young sire Girolamo, as well as She’s a Winner, dam of Grade 1 winner and sire Bluegrass Cat, Grade 2 winner Lord of the Game, stakes winner Sonoma Cat, and Grade 2-placed Cal Nation. Supercharger is also a full sister to Grade 2 winner Daydreaming, and Grade 3 winner Accelerator.

Daydreaming is the dam of Grade 1-placed Imagining, a Giant’s Causeway horse who won an allowance turf event at Keeneland on April 13.

In addition to Super Saver, Supercharger is the dam of Grade 3 winner Brethren and stakes-placed Lisa T.

Tiznow stands at WinStar for a fee of $75,000 when the foal stands and nurses.
