Supah Blitz completes sweep for Espinoza

Jockey Victor Espinoza swept the two stakes at Santa Anita on Saturday, winning the $106,00 Tokyo City Handicap with Supah Blitz and the $86,250 Santa Paula Stakes with No Bull Baby.

Supah Blitz, trained by Doug O'Neill, ended a three-race losing streak in the Grade 3 Tokyo City. The victory marked his third stakes win since he was purchased privately by a partnership last August.

The favorite in a field of five, Supah Blitz ($4.80) stalked pacesetter Ender's Shadow through early fractions of 23.53 and 47.19 seconds. Supah Blitz, fitted with blinkers for the first time in seven starts, drew even on the final turn and pulled clear to win by three lengths. Outta Here, third early, finished second, a length in front of Ender's Shadow.

Supah Blitz, 5, has won 7 of 36 starts and $1,084,210.

* No Bull Baby ($8.60), a fixture in the local female sprint division over the last year, won the second stakes of her career by leading throughout the Santa Paula Stakes.
