Sunrise Stallions released the fees for its 2016 stallion roster, which is led by dual classic winner Big Brown.

Big Brown, a 10-year-old son of Boundary, will stand his second season in New York at Dutchess Views Farm in Pine Plains for a fee of $10,000, up from $8,500 during his first season in the Empire State after previously residing in Kentucky. Big Brown’s runners were led in 2015 by Dortmund, a Grade 1 winner who finished third in the Kentucky Derby, as well as Grade 2 winner Coach Inge, Grade 1-placed stakes winner Kiss to Remember, and Australian Group 3-placed Dawnie Perfect.

“Big Brown has proven that he can get superior runners with the likes of multiple Grade 1 winner Dortmund and Saratoga Grade 1-placed Coach Inge and Kiss to Remember,” said Eric Bishop, who manages Big Brown’s stud career on behalf of Sunrise Stallions. “He covered his biggest book of mares with 138 in 2015, his first year in New York, and he will be well supported again in the upcoming season.”

Sunrise Stallions also will stand Grade 3 winner Heavy Breathing at Dutchess Views Farm in 2016 for a fee of $2,500, unchanged from 2015. The 6-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway won two of seven starts during his on-track career for earnings of $124,411, with placings in the Grade 3 Spiral Stakes and the Lamplighter Stakes.

Grade 1 winner Frost Giant will stand at Keane Stud in Amenia, N.Y., for a fee of $7,500, a reduction from $10,000 during the previous breeding season. The 12-year-old Giant’s Causeway horse has been led in 2015 by stakes winners Loki’s Vengeance and Frosty Margarita.

Breeders are invited to inspect the Dutchess Views stallions on Jan. 16 from 1-4 p.m. Eastern, while Frost Giant will be shown at Keane Stud the same day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
