SUNLAND PARK, N.M. - Reflecting Colors, a 4-year-old colt making his first start for trainer Henry Dominguez, served notice that he will be a serious horse on this circuit, with an impressive performance in Tuesday's seventh race at Sunland Park.

An Avenue of Flags colt bred in California by John C. and Betty Mabee, Reflecting Colors blazed through the opening half-mile in 43.10 seconds before coasting home to win the 6 1/2-furlong race by nine lengths in 1:15.31, just off the track record of 1:15.00. Reflecting Colors ($6.40), owned by Dale Hopkins and James Wasson, was ridden by Jorge Bourdieu.

* Silver Gypsy arrived at this meet a maiden after seven starts but has now won three straight for trainer Zach Armstrong, including a nonwinners-of-three allowance in Tuesday's 10th race feature.

Ridden by Armstrong's wife, third leading jockey Nena Matz, Silver Gypsy ($4.60) was all-out at the end of six furlongs in 1:10.66. Silver Gypsy is now 10-3-2-2 lifetime with earnings of almost $30,000 for owners Bailey and Linda McCoy.
