The field for the Grade 3, $800,000 Sunland Park Derby will be drawn on Wednesday. The mile and an eighth stakes will be run on Sunday, March 25, as part of a program of seven stakes worth a collective $1.6 million. Other top races on the richest card of the meet will include the $200,000 Sunland Park Oaks that is expected to draw the undefeated Princess Arabella for trainer Bob Baffert.

Sunland officials said the Sunland Derby should draw Castaway, winner of a division of the Grade 3, $250,000 Southwest for Baffert; Daddy Nose Best, winner of the Grade 3 El Camino Real Derby for trainer Steve Asmussen; Longview Drive, a multiple stakes winner for trainer Jerry Hollendorfer; Isn’t He Clever, winner of the local prep, the $150,000 Borderland Derby, Ender Knievel, an impressive maiden special weight winner at Gulfstream Park for trainer Todd Pletcher; and Majestic Stride and No Spin.

No Spin worked Saturday morning at Oaklawn Park, going six furlongs in 1:13 for trainer Tim Ice.
