Back Seat Roll, ridden by Enrique Gomez, handles her first two-turn assignment in the Enchantress for 2-year-old fillies.

Back Seat Roll racked up her fourth consecutive win Sunday at Sunland Park, when she conquered two turns in the $85,000 Enchantress. She won by 3 1/2 lengths over Desertsmagic. It was another 3 1/4 lengths back in third to Dandy Devona R F.

Back Seat Roll ($3) stalked the pace in third in the one-mile race for 2-year-old fillies bred in New Mexico, as Cat Meditation set fractions of 23.16 seconds for the opening quarter and 47.64 for the first half-mile. Back Seat Roll advanced through six furlongs in 1:14.19, then drove clear to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:40.95.

Enrique Gomez rode Back Seat Roll, who was making her first start around two turns. She races for J. Kirk and Judy Robison and is trained by Henry Dominguez. The Enchantress was Back Seat Roll’s third straight stakes win following the $159,000 Rio Grande Senorita Futurity at Ruidoso and the $140,000 New Mexico Cup Juvenile Fillies at Zia Park.
