EAST BOSTON, Mass. - Suffolk Downs on Saturday will present seven live races before the simulcast of all eight Breeders' Cup races. Post time for the first live event is 10:15 a.m.

Headlining the local fare is the $25,000 Mom's Command Stakes. The six-furlong race drew a field of nine 2-year-old fillies topped by As Told.

As Told will prove a strong favorite in the Mom's Command as she comes in from New York to face an undistinguished band of local hopefuls. In her most recent outing, As Told, a Bill Mott-trained daughter of A P Indy, proved a worthy favorite as she scored by three widening lengths over a band of maidens at Belmont. As Told will be ridden by Clifford Dooley at 122 pounds and will race with Lasix for the first time.

With the local leader of this division, Yacht to Pay For, sitting out the Mom's Command, the consistent Mrscoppolaskitchen, who last month finished second to Yacht to Pay For in Rockingham's Concord Stakes, and Sterlingapparition, who defeated Mrscoppolaskitchen in July in her only start, represent the best of the local contingent.
