Strong Mandate to shuttle to Chile

Grade 1 winner Strong Mandate will shuttle to Agricola Icha Solari Ltda. in Chile for the upcoming Southern Hemisphere breeding season.

The 4-year-old son of Tiznow recently completed his first Northern Hemisphere season at Three Chimneys Farm in Midway, Ky., where he stood for an advertised fee of $10,000.

Strong Mandate won two of eight starts for earnings of $529,566, highlighted by a 9 3/4-length victory in the Grade 1 Hopeful Stakes. He also placed in the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and the Grade 3 Southwest Stakes the following season.

"We are excited to stand Strong Mandate at our farm,” said Icha Solari, owner of Agricola Icha Solari Ltda. “He represents the caliber of stallion we are looking to provide to our breeders.”

Bred in Kentucky by G. Watts Humphrey Jr., Strong Mandate was the final foal out of the multiple Grade 1-winning Deputy Minister mare Clear Mandate, who is the dam of nine winners from 10 foals to race. He is a half-sibling to Grade 2 winner Newfoundland, stakes winner Full Mandate, and English Group 2-placed The Mighty Tiger.
