Street Sense, the reigning 2-year-old champion, was not only the early favorite for the Blue Grass Stakes on Saturday at Keeneland, but also the favorite in the early hours of Pool 3 of the 2007 Kentucky Derby Future Wager, which opened for a four-day run Thursday at noon Eastern at tracks and wagering outlets throughout North America.

As of 4 p.m. Eastern, and with $10,101 bet into the win-only pool, Street Sense was the 7-2 choice, followed by Circular Quay and Nobiz Like Shobiz at 10-1, with Scat Daddy, Stormello, and Tiago all 11-1.

Meanwhile, Rags to Riches was the 5-2 favorite in the corresponding pool for the Kentucky Oaks. With $3,291 wagered, she was followed by High Heels at 5-1, Octave and the mutuel field at 8-1, and Cash Included and Dream Rush at 14-1.

Pool 3 for the Derby closes Sunday at 6 p.m. Eastern, a half-hour before Oaks Pool 3 closes. Results are predicated on the May 5 Derby and May 4 Oaks. Pool 1 was held Feb. 8-11, and Pool 2 from March 8-11.
