'Stormin' favored in sales stakes

Stormin Princess is the only winner in the $40,000 ITBOA Sales Futurity at Prairie Meadows, a 5 1/2-furlong race for 2-year-olds that passed through the sales ring at this spring's ITBOA 2-year-olds in training sale.

There are four couplings in the field of 12. Stormin Princess is coupled with Better Make Money, with both trained by David McShane. He owns both horses with Jeff LaFoy.

Stormin Princess was a close third in her career debut here May 27 and led all the way to win her next start by 4 1/2 lengths on June 12. She should rule a strong favorite with regular rider David Essman aboard. Stormin Princess drew post 10 and Better Make Money has post 7.

Hesablumin, trained by Kelly Von Hemel, comes off a third in his career debut on June 26. Von Hemel won seven stakes during the Thoroughbred meet here. Hesablumin is coupled with Maya's Storm. Hesablumin has Carlos Montalvo named to ride from post 4, while Maya's Storm will be ridden by Richard Monterrey from post 5.

Bayou Tejano heads the three-horse River Ridge Ranch-owned entry. He comes off a second over sloppy going here on June 22. Bayou Tejano is coupled with Bravo Cyclone and Frozen Angel.
