Steal Your Face by a nose at Remington

Steal Your Face made two meaningful moves for the $50,000 Silver Goblin at Remington Park on Friday. He returned to the Oklahoma-bred ranks for the race, and he got back to the 6 1/2-furlong distance of his last stakes win. The result was a dramatic nose win over Herecomesthemannow.

Steal Your Face ($10.80) had one horse beat early in the Silver Goblin, as Fifth Date led the field through an opening quarter in 21.47 seconds. Steal Your Face advanced, picked up rivals through the lane, and won on a track rated fast in 1:16.35.

Steal Your Face came into the Silver Goblin off a third-place finish to multiple stakes winner Gold Coyote in a $50,000 optional claiming race at Remington. He is owned by Rockin B B Ranch and Glenn Chamandy.

Also on the card Friday, Skedee ($3.40) won her second straight stakes at the meet when she drove to a 2 3/4-length win over Classic Actress in the $50,000 Ladies on the Lawn for statebred fillies and mares. Skedee was prominent throughout, and covered the 7 1/2 furlongs on firm turf in 1:29.80.

Chris Landeros was aboard for trainer Mary Sullivan.
