Grade 1 winner and sire Spring At Last has been purchased by H.H. Prince Sultan bin Mohammed Saud Al Kabeer and will stand in Saudi Arabia. Spring At Last, a 12-year-old son of Silver Deputy, had stood his entire stallion career at WinStar Farm in Versailles, Ky., where he debuted in 2009. He was advertised for a fee of $10,000 during the upcoming breeding season. From his first three crops of racing age – the fourth is newly-turned juveniles – Spring At Last has sired 79 winners for combined progeny earnings of more than $5.6 million. Spring in the Air, Canada’s champion 2-year-old filly of 2012, leads the stallion’s runners and came from his first crop. His top progeny are also highlighted by Grade/Group 2 winners Spring Venture, Seaneen Girl, and Rocketazo. Bred in Kentucky by WinStar Farm, Spring At Last won five or 13 starts for earnings of $1,139,150, led by a win in the Grade 1 Donn Handicap and the Group 2 Godolphin Mile in the U.A.E. He is out of the unplaced Dynaformer mare Winter’s Gone, whose six winners from as many runners also include Grade 1 winner Sharp Lisa and Grade 2 winner Sharp Susan.
