Spectacular Lisa ($5.60) wins the $100,000 Chou Croute Handicap at Fair Grounds on Saturday.

Spectacular Lisa, confidently handled by Robby Albarado, dominated her six rivals Saturday in the $100,000 Chou Croute Handicap at Fair Grounds and gave trainer Mike Stidham his second straight win in the Chou Croute.

Always prominent after breaking from the outside post, Spectacular Lisa took over for Spirited Maiden in the final turn of the 1 1/16-mile race, then steadily drew clear to prevail by 1 1/2 lengths over California shipper Tropical Blossom. Princess Pelona finished another length back in third.

Spectacular Lisa, owned by Green River Farm, returned $5.60 as second choice after finishing in 1:43.55 over a fast track. The victory was the sixth in 12 career starts for Spectacular Lisa, a gray 4-year-old filly by Formal Gold. The Chou Croute result kept her unbeaten in three starts for Stidham, who assumed her training several months ago.

Tropical Blossom, trained by Julio Canani, ended a $2 exacta worth $19.60. The $2 trifecta paid $175.

Stidham won the Chou Croute last year with Ifyouprefersilver.
