Speaking of Which to stand in India

Speaking of Which, a graded/group stakes winner in the U.S. and Ireland, has been retired from racing and will stand at Usha Stud Farm in India, Racing Post reports.

The 6-year-old son of Invincible Spirit finished his career with five wins in 15 starts for earnings of $333,918 racing as a homebred for Moyglare Stud Farm. The Irish-born horse was trained Dermot Weld and later by Christophe Clement.

He began his career in Ireland at age 3, winning the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes, then was shipped to the U.S. later that year to finish second in the Grade 2 Twilight Derby. In his following two U.S. campaigns, he brought home the Grade 2 Monmouth Stakes and the Grade 3 Tropical Turf Handicap.

Speaking of Which is out of the unraced Mr. Prospector mare Suitably Discreet, a $1.6-million purchase as a yearling, who is the dam of five winners from eight foals to race, also including the Irish Group 2-placed Capital Exposure. His second dam is Canadian Horse of the Year Alywow, and his extended family includes Grade 2 winner Century City.

Speaking of Which arrived in India last month and is still in quarantine. He will be cleared by the start of the breeding season.
