Analysis:
OMI'S VINDICATION is by an undefeated juvenile champion that boasts a strong 16% win ratio with juvenile debut runners.  The dam won the first three starts of her career as a three-year-old (won debut going six furlongs in the slop at Gulfstream with a 97 Beyer) en route to grabbing a pair of stakes races (one graded) going long with triple-digit numbers. Brushed Bayou, a half-sister to Omi's Vindication, was a stakes-winning turf sprinter that won third-out at two going 5 1/2 furlongs on dirt at Belmont with a 98 Beyer.  Dale Romans is having a solid meet, and Omi's Vindication may have found the right field for debut success.
Entrymate QUIET TEMPER was no match for runaway winner Proud Zoe in the debut try, but she was flattered when the third-place finisher that afternoon, Afleet Maggi, returned to graduate with a 72 Beyer.  Expect normal second-out improvement.
AILALEA faced some promising maidens in her debut and the runner-up that day, Awesome Maria, came back to romp with an 80 Beyer.  Ailalea broke poorly in that spot, but picked up some tired horses in the lane, and is a Todd Pletcher student that can move forward with that race under her girth.
HIDDEN VALUE adds Lasix for Wayne Lukas, and is expected to show good early speed after chasing hot fractions three weeks ago.
PROTESTING finished over five lengths behind Quiet Temper in the debut try, but Shug McGaughey-trained maidens have a tendency to improve drastically in the second lifetime start.  DYNAZAPER rallied belatedly in her career debut behind subsequent Adirondack third-place finisher Magic Appeal, and that race has already produced a pair of next-out winners.  As in the case of McGaughey, trainer Bill Mott's numbers with second-time starters are better than with his firsters.  MAMBO FEVER raced evenly in her debut for Tony Dutrow, and the interim five-furlong workout should have her sitting on another good performance.  SUMMER HUMOR has been working steadily since early June for Kiaran McLaughlin, and the dam earned six triple-digit Beyers going long including a 107 in the Grade 1 Personal Ensign at the Spa.  Expect this filly to do better with more experience and distance.  Pedigree handicappers will surely flock to KIND WORDS.  The Darley homebred is a full sister to Preakness and Travers winner Bernardini, but note the 19-day gap between the last two workouts.  STARSILHOUETTE is another that should appreciate extra ground as the dam is a half-sister to the venerable router Evening Attire.

Analysis:
SAVER DUDE is bred both sides for speed as his sire, City Zip, won the Grade 1 Hopeful here as a juvenile, and the dam is a full sister to the fleet Meadowlake.  We'll probably find out a bit more about this colt after the second race as his presumed workmate, Omi's Vindication, is scheduled to start.
ELSAROARIN's good tactical speed figures to be sharpened with the addition of blinkers, and this colt goes out for a barn that sent out a juvenile winner earlier in the week.  Expect him to be close to the pace.
BISHOP OF NOLA has a lot of promise.  The son of Devil His Due broke slowly in his career debut, but finished with interest, and galloped out nicely.  He'll have to break better this time around as he's saddled with the inside post, but should be used in exotics and multi-race wagers.
It will be interesting to see if Linda Rice wheels STELLALUCE back on short notice.  The Cuvee colt drew into an off-the-turf event last week, and took lots of money, but was no match for the runaway, upset winner.  Think this guy will be setting the pace if he does start.
MAKE NOTE ran into a big winner in his career debut, and can move forward for George Weaver, a trainer having a nice meeting.  MINESWEPT is still a bit green, but one gets the feeling that he'll get better and better with more experience.  SWINGING AT SIRO'S has tons of speed in his pedigree, and it's hard to ignore any Linda Rice-trained runner at this stand.  SILENCED has been beaten double-digits in both starts, and may need two turns.  TREASURE TRUNK must improve off dull debut at long odds.  SOUCEOFTHENILE wouldn't be a surprise considering the connections involved.  MINE OVER MATTER and CATHY'S RASCAL both may prefer a bit more ground

Analysis:
HOT DIXIE CHICK took down a track record when winning her maiden with a 100 Beyer at Churchill Downs, and then looked so impressive in taking the Schuylerville here on Opening Day.  After breaking well from the inside post in the Schuylerville, Robby Albarado confidently eased Hot Dixie Chick off the inside heading into the turn without losing much momentum.  Once Albarado allowed Hot Dixie Chick to roll, she opened up on the field with ease, and won by open lengths with a 103 Beyer.  She looks like the dominant speed in the Spinaway, and looms the horse to catch and beat at a short price.
BEAUTICIAN had some traffic trouble along the backstretch of the Schuylerville, and then made a solid midrace move before faltering just a bit in the stretch.  She was an impressive debut winner at Churchill Downs in her debut for Ken McPeek, but missed an engagement in the Adirondack on August 19 after showing some signs of colic.  This filly has some promise, and shouldn't be ignored.
SASSY IMAGE finished well in the Adirondack, and is capable of improvement in her second start of the form cycle.  She has the tactical speed to sit just off the pace, and the extra distance may work in her favor.
WORSTCASESCENARIO, an undefeated 2-2 for Rick Violette, dueled the much-hyped Dashing Debby into the ground in the Adirondack before drawing off as an impressive winner.  She would likely be the one closest to Hot Dixie Chick early, but the fear is that she will scratch to await the Grade 1 Matron at Belmont Park.
BICKERSONS went gate-to-wire in a maiden heat at Monmouth, but is unlikely to wrest the early lead away from Hot Dixie Chick.  MAGIC APPEAL wasn't disgraced when a well-beaten third in the Adirondack, and she has shown a tendency to stalk and pounce in her career.  SKY FEVER and OPUS A leap up from the statebred ranks while SNAP HAPPY needs a Beyer boost.
