Analysis:  GUN ROCK sold for $500,000 earlier this year, but he's always been a highly-valued colt at auction, going for $95,000 as a weanling and $320,000 as a yearling.  His first-crop sire, Forest Danger, won the Carter Handicap going seven furlongs, and this female family has produced the speedy Wordly Manner.  Trainer Barclay Tagg is having a wonderful meet thus far, and the workouts look quick.
REIN KING is by the promising first-crop sire Roman Ruler, and he worked in 10 seconds flat at a juvenile auction earlier in the year.  His published drills look swift leading up to his career debut, and trainer John Terranova has excelled with older debut runners in 2009.
LONESOME STREET boasts the same sire-broodmare sire 'nick' as 2008 Spa debut winner Hello Broadway, and the workouts look solid.  These connections have come up to the Spa to compete as trainer Michael Maker already has over 20 starters at the meeting.
CAPTAIN STONE bled in his debut at Arlington Park, and now adds Lasix for underrated, but excellent barn.  He can certainly make his presence felt in this spot, and he has some speed as evidenced by his furlong work in 9.4 prior to selling for $100,000 earlier this year.
HENRY'S TIME didn't do much in career debut on grass, but the $320,000 son of Rubiano can improve a bit on the main track.  He has an experience edge over most of his opponents. ICE BOX's dam did her best running on the grass so perhaps he'll do best with more experience and distance.  AIKENITE is by a precocious stallion, and goes out for one of the top first-out barns in the world.  He worked two furlongs in under 21 seconds at auction, but the recent drills at the Spa only give out mixed feelings.  MIDDLE OF THE NITE draws a tough inside post position, and may ultimately want a bit more ground to work with.  HUDSON LANDING goes out for solid debut barn, and it's nice to see the trifecta of recent five-furlong workouts.  SOLID STEEL's sire had a juvenile debut winner at Saratoga on Friday afternoon.  I'VE GOT THE FEVER may need a race.
