Analysis:  DISCREETLY MINE, a half-brother to three blacktype earners including the immensely-talented Discreet Cat, adds blinkers after a promising debut run at Belmont.  He only finished a neck behind Bulls and Bears, a troubled performer in the Sanford Stakes earlier in the meet, and has enough speed to get away well from the sometimes-intimidating inside post position.
EIGHTYFIVEINAFIFTY sold for $100,000 earlier this year after working a furlong in under ten seconds, and he has continued to work quickly for Gary Contessa.  He is bred both sides for speed, and offers some longshot value at 20-1 on the morning line.
HOCKLEY is the first runner out of a multiple stakes-winning half-sister to Grade 2 winner Old Trieste from a quality female family.  The son of A.P. Indy took all the money for his debut over Arlington's polytrack, and showed good speed before faltering late.  He shows a bullet five furlong work over this surface, and can't be counted out for top connections.
ON VACATION attempted to rally over a speed-favoring surface in his debut at Philadelphia Park, and was flattered when the runner-up of that race returned to win his maiden earlier in the meeting.
MAITRE SALAMA shows some promising workouts for top first-out barn.  The half to juvenile debut winner Alaazo may want a bit more ground, however.  FLEXTHEGOLDENPIPES raced evenly in his career debut against the speedy Enumerate, and can improve off that try.  DUBLIN exits an ultra key race that was led by Backtalk, the Sanford winner that is undefeated after three starts.  SELFLESS showed good early speed in his debut, but must make up over ten lengths on Discreetly Mine.  CALVELLO broke slowly in his career debut, and needs a Beyer boost here.  KRYPTON worked a bullet over the main track six days ago, but the other drills give out mixed feelings.  ANWAR SADAT doesn't show a published workout in the last 19 days.  ED'S BIG BET, a son of Thunder Gulch out of a half-sister to Holy Bull, may want more distance.  RUN TO GRAND AVE. shows a string of gate workouts, and that may indicate a lack of a quick first step.

Selections:  1. Discreetly Mine  2.  Eightyfiveinafifty  3.  Hockley

The play:  Discreetly Mine - Eightyfiveinafifty Exacta; Discreetly Mine - Hockley Exacta

Meet record based on starts, wins, top pick (after scratches) in the money, and profit/loss of that day's play ($2 wager): 7-2-4 (- $8.70)
