Southern Exchange ($2.90) overcame traffic problems on the turn to capture the $151,300 Colin Stakes impressively at Woodbine.

After breaking from the rail in the six-furlong dash for 2-year-olds, Southern Exchange stalked the leaders along the inside and was boxed in on the turn. After finding room on the outside at the three-sixteenths pole, Southern Exchange scooted away and prevailed by 3 1/4 lengths, in a time of 1:10.74.

Dryden finished a clear second after a wide stalking journey, and Bear's Rocket faded to third after dueling through fractions of 22.68 seconds and 45.06.

"He did what he had to do," said Jono Jones, who rode Southern Exchange for trainer Greg De Gannes. "He does everything perfect."

Southern Exchange, now unbeaten in three starts, picked up $90,000 for owners Bill and Vicki Poston.

* Mulmur ($64.90) won his first stakes in Saturday's supporting feature, the $102,400 Ontario Jockey Club. Mulmur covered seven furlongs on the grass in 1:19.81 under jockey Eurico Rosa Da Silva.
