Small fields throughout Sunday pick six

ARCADIA, Calif. – The pick six will be the focus for many bettors Sunday after the bet was not hit Saturday, leading to a carryover of $103,974.

The pick six begins with the fourth race Sunday, which has a post time of 2:32 p.m. Pacific.

Field sizes are not large in the pick six Sunday, with seven, seven, seven, seven, nine, and eight runners in the fourth through ninth races.

One of the shortest prices in the pick six races is Nikki Allyn in the fourth race, a five-furlong maiden claimer for 3-year-olds and up. Nikki Allyn is 6-5 on the morning line.

There are two $125,000 stakes for 2-year-olds in the pick six, including the Santa Anita Juvenile, the seventh race, which drew a field of seven. The Santa Anita Juvenile drew a strong field of recent maiden race winners, including Holiday Camp, Kristi’s Copilot, Story to Tell, and Wake Up Nick.

The Landaluce Stakes, the eighth race, is led by Seduire and Enchanting Lady, who were first and second in a maiden race May 22.

An awful card for them is now about as good as it gets, Racing in So Cal has become a joke, If trainer Peter Miller and John Sadler were suspended as they should be there would be too few horses to fill a card. After growing up at So Cal tracks I don't try to handicap them any longer, it's like sitting down at a poker game that you KNOW is rigged and you're not in on it.

try Monmouth. Might surprise you. Haven't perused the entire race card but what I saw looked OK.
