Six Perfections heads Guineas

The French filly Six Perfections, trained by Pascal Bary, is expected to go off as a heavy favorite in the Group 1 Entenmann's Irish

1000 Guineas at The Curragh on Sunday.

Six Perfections was second to Russian Rhythm in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket earlier this month, finishing strongly under Thierry Thulliez after a troubled trip. Johnny Murtagh replaces Thulliez on Six Perfections in Sunday's race.

Trainer Kevin Prendergast will shoot for a third victory in the Irish 1000 Guineas with three fillies: Athasi Stakes victor Walayef, Leopardstown winner Cat Belling, and Plume Rouge. Prendergast won with Pidget in 1972 and Arctique Royale in 1981.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien will saddle two fillies, L'Ancresse and Yesterday. Dimitrova and Luminata complete a field of eight in the Guineas, which will be run over a mile.

In the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup, Burning Sun, trained by Henry Cecil, will face seven rivals going 10 furlongs. Black Sam Bellamy, trained by Aidan O'Brien, and Godolphin's Highdown and Narrative are also in the field.
