SHARP@MEADOWLANDS
GOTTASEEABOUTAGIRL – Had dull cover third over, rallied wide and finished gamely for the place
HALFPIPE – Trotter had excess dull cover and finished willingly from a tough spot
MANDOLIN HANOVER – Left from post 9, lost cover at the quarter and remained first over, held okay in an improved effort at 84-1
LOOK ANNIE HALL – Left from the rail and parked a horse to the quarter, yielded and was shuffled out of contention behind a tiring 159-1 shot
ARIANE HANOVER – 4th over behind a weak flow of cover, rallied wide on the final bend and finished fast
HANKS KID – Was parked the mile without cover pushing a quick pace and excusably tired
TAKEMEWITHYOU – Left and was aggressively driven 3 wide to clear the lead past the quarter, wired the field nicely, much improved for the Burke barn
JIMMY WHIZBANG – Brushed to the lead at the half, paced a quick middle-half taking on some pressure and held okay; may be set for an off-the-pace try if he draws a decent post
SCOTTY MACH N – Left from post 8 and was parked to the lead in :26, set a fast pace, had the lead turning for home but excusably tired; price factor in exotics off that speed tightener
Best Bets
Daylon Miracle is perfect in four career starts. She even won in her career debut despite getting impeded and making a break. The 3-year-old filly has good speed off the gate and should be able to take charge in the City of London Fillies and Mares final. Seeing as she will be 3-5 or so, let’s key her in the exacta over #1 Cynthia Loo and #4 Amber Kadabra.
