Sharon Sullivan, horsewoman, dead

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Sharon Sullivan, exercise rider and groom, died in Leesburg, Fla., on July 22 of complications from extensive stomach and hip injuries she sustained in a horse accident in April 2000. Sullivan, 50, worked in the Thoroughbred industry for 25 years and had been employed as a hotwalker, groom, and rider on farms and at the track, and as a sales worker for Thoroughbred auction consignors. She was employed at Padua Stables near Ocala, Fla., at the time of her death.
