'Send 'Em' looks tough

MUSKEGON, Mich. - Michigan Sire Stakes winner Send 'Em Pakin and Gold Ginny head their respective divisions in the $34,425-added Michigan Juvenile Fillies Stakes at Great Lakes Downs on Monday. The seven-furlong race was split after 15 fillies were entered, and will be run as the first and second races on the 10-race card.

One of two stakes winners in the second division, Send 'Em Pakin won the $74,550 Sire Stakes, her first career stakes, by 2 1/4 lengths. Tommy Molina will ride Send 'Em Pakin.

Stellar One, who was declared the winner of the Sickle's Image Stakes after the disqualification of Zosia's Genius, will contend and has Mary Doser aboard.

The rest of the second division field is Tiny Facts, Native Zeal, Zes Tee, Cats Copy, Salute to Paulie, and Deb's Favorite Gift.

Gold Ginny, a maiden winner on Oct. 6, will face six rivals in the first race. She is trained by leading conditioner Gerald Bennett and gets the services of Joe Judice.

Living Fully, who finished third but was moved up to second in the Sickle's Image, is Gold Ginny's chief rival. She ships in from Kentucky and will have Jason Eads aboard.

Also entered in the first division are Flair Play, Goldasice, Dreams to Go, Smart Link, and Boula Boula.
