Sefapiano, sire of Jonesboro, dies

Louisiana stallion Sefapiano, sire of multiple graded winner and millionaire Jonesboro, has died of a heart attack at age 21, according to Racing Post. The Fappiano-Sefa's Beauty horse died Jan. 2 at the Landlock Equine Center after a stud career that also included stints in Michigan and Kentucky. Sefapiano's other notable runners included graded winners Rolling Sea and Humoristic. Sefapiano had progeny earnings of more than $14.5 million at his death.
