Schvaneveldt suffers injury


ALBANY, Calif. - Jockey Chad Schvaneveldt suffered a fractured left clavicle when Moscow Princess suffered a fatal breakdown at the finish of Sunday's second race at Golden Gate Fields.

Moscow Princess, the 7-to-5 favorite, fractured her right front sesamoid at the finish line. She had to be euthanized.

Schvaneveldt is expected to miss four to six weeks with his injury. He finished fourth in the Golden Gate Fields jockey standings with 57 winners.
