Saturday stakes roundup


In other Saturday stakes:

* Mandy's Gold ($6) ran down 7-5 favorite Madame Roar turning for home and won the $100,600 Sweet and Sassy Stakes by 8 1/4 lengths at Delaware Park.

* De Goddaughter ($7) set the early pace then re-rallied when passed briefly by Lindsay Jean to win the $50,550 Alameda County Fillies and Mares Handicap at the Alameda County Fair.

* Kentucky shipper Hackendiffy did not disappoint his many backers that sent him off as the 1-5 choice in the $40,000 Cleveland Kindergarten Stakes when he sprinted to a clear lead and widened out to a 4 3/4-length win over his five Ohio-bred 2-year-old rivals at Thistledown.

* Walk in the Snow ($5.60) rallied from off a strong pace and outkicked favored Hail the Bag by a neck to win the $43,200 Arcadia Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

* Ham and Eggs ($14.40) edged odds-on favorite Sarah Jade by a neck to win the $35,000 HBPA Mile at Canterbury Park. In the co-featured $35,000 HBPA Sprint, Expert ($5.60) nipped Big Daddy Tee by a nose following a stretch-long duel.

* Irish Flyer ($57.40), smartly ridden by Mark Anderson, made all the pace to upset 1-2 favorite Oglala Sue in the $22,500 Falls Amiss Handicap for Nebraska-bred fillies and mares at the Lincoln State Fair.
