Scooter Rains wins the Cyclones Handicap for Iowa-breds at Prairie Meadows.

* One for Rose ($5.40) held off 14-1 shot Ballroom Deputy in deep stretch for a narrow triumph in Woodbine's $165,625 Ontario Matron Handicap, a race she won last year.

* Cousins Lew ($9) took the lead near the sixteenth pole and held off the late charge of Cause to Believe to capture the $75,000 Malcolm Anderson Stakes in his debut at Golden Gate Fields.

* Scooter Rains ($16.80) took advantage of a ground-saving trip and an early pace duel and rallied to score a half-length win in the $70,000 Cyclones Handicap for Iowa-breds at Prairie Meadows.

* Oh So Easy ($8.40) made the lead just inside the eighth pole and drew off to a 5 1/4-length win over eight Ohio-bred filly and mare rivals in the $45,000 Merry Times Stakes at Thistledown.

* High Strike Zone ($4), cleverly handled by Ricky Faul, set all the pace in the $50,000 Ark-La-Tex Handicap at Louisiana Downs before drawing away in the late going to win by a 1 3/4 lengths.

* Winston Thompson won six races on the 11-race program at Suffolk Downs, including the featured $50,000 Old Ironsides Breeders' Cup Stakes on the turf aboard Miesque's Approval ($4).
