Saturday stakes recaps (4/29/06)


* Wally's Choice returned from a six-month layoff to take the $100,000 Bosselman/Gus Fonner Stakes by a widening 2 1/2 lengths under Ken Shino at Fonner Park.

* Saint Stephen ($4.60) defeated Foufa's Warrior by 3 1/2 lengths in the $69,250 Henry Clark at Pimlico, with Rubi Echo another 1 1/4 lengths back in third.

* G G's Dolly ($3.80) took the lead leaving the furlong marker on her way to a 1 3/4-length victory in the $50,000 Prairie Rose Stakes for fillies and mares at Prairie Meadows.

* On Thin Ice and jockey Jeremy Rose powered past Tartlet in midstretch to win the $54,988 Quick Card at Delaware Park by 1 3/4 lengths.

* Judiths Wild Rush ($2.80) toyed with his six opponents in the $150,800 Vigil Stakes at Woodbine, winning under a hand ride.
