* Everheart came through as the 1-2 favorite in the $50,000 Wafare Farm Stakes at Lone Star Park, defeating Boston Express by 4 1/4 lengths. Under Eddie Martin Jr., Everheart stalked the pace of Boston Express, who had rushed up to grab the lead after missing the break. Everheart took the lead at the top of stretch and went on to complete the six furlongs in 1:08.85. Bluegrass Sara finished third in the field of six 3-year-old fillies.

* Racing on grass for the first time since August 2002, Governor's Pride ($51.80) outdueled 6-5 favorite Take Achance on Me by a nose to win the $50,000 Ben Cohen Stakes at Pimlico.

* Mercer's Launch ($5) took the lead just after a quarter-mile of the six-furlong race and widened it out to a 4 1/2-length victory over seven Ohio-bred female rivals in the $40,000 Brent's Princess Stakes at Thistledown.

* Hollywood and Wine ($7.20) took advantage of a ground saving trip under jockey Tim Doocy and rallied to score a 4 1/4-length victory over Dis Miss in the $50,000 Bob Bryant Stakes for 3-year-old Iowa-bred fillies at Prairie Meadows.

* Last seen winning the $100,000 La Senorita on the Retama turf last summer, Topango picked up right where she left off Saturday afternoon, with a strong rally to win the $50,000 Chapel Belle Stakes at Louisiana Downs.

* Old Lee survived a one-week delay and a claim of foul to score a 3 1/2-length win in the $40,000 B. B. "Sixty" Rayburn Stakes at Evangeline Downs.

* Jack Black and Ice ($10.80) overcame a slow start and picked up his first win of the year in the $10,000 Speed Handicap at 4 1/2 furlongs at Lincoln.
