SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Zo Impressive, winner of the Grade 1 Mother Goose and runner-up in the Grade 1 Coaching Club American Oaks, worked three furlongs in 37.40 seconds Wednesday morning.
Trainer Tom Albertrani said Zo Impressive actually galloped out another eighth in 12.40 seconds, which would make it a half-mile in 49.80.
Either way, Albertrani seems content with where Zo Impressive is 11 days out from the Alabama.

“She worked well this morning, finished good,” Albertrani said. “She came out of the race good. It’s only 30 days in between the two races. She keeps herself pretty fit.”
The Alabama is shaping up a very good race with Grade 1 winners Believe You Can, Grace Hall, Questing and Zo Impressive joining In Lingerie, Via Villaggio and Sea Island.

On the heels of a super-fast performance at Aqueduct, BIG SCREEN was close to a blistering pace in a strong renewal of the Westchester and stayed in contention to the stretch; only loss in allowance company this year was a second to Cigar Street, who subsequently won a Grade 3. SUMMER SUNSET has posted exacta finishes seven of eight starts since claimed last spring; reliable gelding faster than ever at age 4.
