WinStar has repurchased Mildly Offensive and has transferred her to trainer Todd Pletcher's barn.

Mildly Offensive, a stakes-winning daughter of Sharp Humor, was purchased by WinStar Farm and turned over to trainer Todd Pletcher.

Mildly Offensive had been racing in Southern California for Carla Gaines, who trained the filly for owner Warren Williamson. Gaines had purchased Mildly Offensive as a yearling from WinStar.

According to WinStar president Elliott Walden, WinStar purchased Mildly Offensive back as a broodmare prospect, but planned to race her a couple more times this fall in hopes of getting some graded-stakes black type.

Mildly Offensive had some success on dirt in Southern California and was fourth in the Grade 1 Humana Distaff at Churchill in May. But she toiled on the synthetic surface at Hollywood Park, most recently finishing seventh in the A Gleam Handicap in July.

“Carla felt like she didn’t handle the synthetics out there as well as she did dirt, so they were kind of handcuffed on where they could run her,” Walden said. “We always had our eye on her to get her back as a broodmare and so we bought her and we’re going to run her a few times this fall.”
