Saratoga Race 2, (1:30 ET)

REBRANDED (#1, 7-2) Another of Pletcher stable's good looking 2-year-olds, has shown much promise in the a.m., flashed big speed from the gate on Aug. 4. Must overcome treacherous inside post for beginners. - Mike Welsch

Saratoga Race 4, (2:31 ET) - LIVE LONGSHOT

THIRD KNIGHT (#5, 10-1) Here's a chance to get Mott at double digit odds going turf to dirt; 3yo colt has room for improvement, and a couple lengths of that puts him in the mix. - Chuck Kuehhas

Saratoga Race 6, (3:34 ET)

IRON POWER (#2, 6/1) had trouble at the break and was sent into a crazy early run circling around the field when finishing behind several of these in turf debut here on July 29; think he's a lot better than that line makes him look, so hoping there aren't too many wise guys on the bandwagon. - Mike Beer

Saratoga Race 7, (4:06 ET) - LIVE LONGSHOT

LAYWER JIM (#5, 10-1) From four starts on firm turf this year, he has prevailed in a pair of photo finish wins at 5-1 and 25-1, and comes off a wide trip just 12 days ago. The New York-bred gelding is versatile enough to set or stalk the early pace. - Dave Litfin

Saratoga Race 9, (5:12 ET)

AL KHALI (#6, 10-1) With a decent showing in the Man o'War last out, some signs of life came from a Grade 1-caliber veteran whose form just hadn't been up to par of late. The fact that HOF trainer keeps him at this lofty level would seem to encourage, as does the presence of Rocco, who is enjoying a terrific meet. There is no standout in this edition of the Sword Dancer, and there's enough speed signed on that it might even set up for a left-field rallied such as him. Seems worth a shot at double-digit odds. - Marty McGee

Saratoga Race 12, (6:50 ET)

SHOT TO WIN (#10, 4-1) Has trained forwardly for his debut against N Y breds, his last work coming in company with older, graded stakes placed stablemate Escapefromreality. - Mike Welsch

Saratoga Race 2, (1:30 ET)

CRESCENT (#4, 5-2) Granted this son of More Than Ready finished third in already key Corfu dash on July 26 but she did run late off a blistering pace and catches a couple of real fast rivals in Rebranded and Tapiture. - Mike Welsch

Saratoga Race 8, (4:38 ET)

NOW AND THEN (#5, 7-2) Has a couple of big figures but has been a bit of a disappointment on dirt, now switches to turf with little pedigree to suggest improvement on this surface, and is sent out to by top connections which will ensure that he gets bet; will take my chances against and leave him out of everything. - Mike Beer
