Trainer Tom Amoss had three of his stakes winners out early Saturday morning for workouts, including Mylute, who worked a half-mile in 52.51 seconds under jockey Rosie Napravnik.

Afterward, Amoss said that Mylute would stay in Saratoga rather for next Saturday’s Grade 2, $600,000 Jim Dandy as opposed to next Sunday’s Grade 1, $1 million Haskell Invitational.

“We’re here, it’s comfortable for me to walk him over and run him rather than go all the way to Monmouth,” said Amoss, who confirmed that Napravnik would be aboard. “I think the pace scenario is fine for his style.”

Also working Saturday for Amoss were Delaunay, who under Napravnik went an easy half-mile in 55.03 seconds, according to Daily Racing Form. Delaunay, upset as the favorite in the Iowa Sprint Handicap on June 28, is pointing to the Grade 1, $400,000 Alfred G. Vanderbilt on Aug. 4.

“He’ll come back next week a little more aggressive,” Amoss said. “I don’t need him sharp right now.”

So Many Ways, winner of the 2012 Spinaway and Schuylerville, worked four furlongs in 52.46 seconds in preparation for the Grade 1 Test here on Aug. 24.
