Saratoga carryover reaches $335,280


SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Premium Tap's 31-1 upset win in the Grade 1 Woodward Stakes ensured there would be a pick six carryover of $335,280 entering Sunday's penultimate card at Saratoga.

Premium Tap returned $64 in the Whitney and was one of five double-digit winners in the sequence. Other winners in the sequence were Tiz Wonderful ($12.60), Allaboutmack ($11.60), Pomeroy ($14.20), Fete ($8.80), and Keen Lassie ($12.80).

The consolation payout (5 of 6) Saturday returned $4,621.

Sunday's pick six begins with a maiden turf race for 2-year-olds at 1 1-16 miles, and includes a maiden dirt race for 2-year-old fillies at 6 1/2 furlongs as well as the Grade 1 Spinaway for 2-year-old fillies at seven furlongs on the dirt and the Grade 3 Saranac Stakes for 3-year-olds scheduled for 1 3/16 miles on the turf.

According to weather.com, there was a 40-percent chance of showers on Saturday night and a 60-percent chance of showers on Sunday. Total rainfall could be up to one-half inch.

If the pick six is not hit Sunday, the entire pool must be distributed on Monday, closing day of the meet.
