Saratoga adds late pick five

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The New York Racing Association will offer a late pick-five wager over the final four days of the Saratoga meet, Friday through Monday.

The wager will be on the last five races on the card. On Friday, it’ll be on races 6 through 10; on Saturday and Sunday, races 8-12; and Monday, races 7-11.

Like the early pick five on the first five races of the day, the takeout rate is 15 percent, and the minimum denomination is 50 cents.

If there is carryover in the late pick five, it will be applied to the bet on the following day. If there is a carryover in the early pick five, it will be applied to that wager on the following day.

The late pick five will not be offered at the beginning of the Belmont fall meet but could be added at some point.

The pick six will still be on the last six races on the card, and the late pick four will still be on the last four races on the card.

It's a pic 5 not six, and it's 50 cents not 2 books.  In short, there's no collision idiot

parke  thanks for the forward thinking  the 50 cent pick 5 is the best value play in racing...id also like to see the 50 cent pick 3 at nyra tracks  it helps stay away from getting sighners...nyra puts on the best video presentation in horse racing

These big jackpot pools only cause more collusion . I generally won't make any big bets into pick 5 races . You never know wich is the nonsense leg.

So this is a 4 day test to see if affects the early P5pool  and precious  P6 pool.  They have not committed to the BEL fall meet and future NYRA meets?.   Please see Gulfstream Park (Tim Ritvo) on how to run a racetrack.

u mean the track that makes u wait ten minutes after 0 minutes left to start a race
u mean the track whose stewards are total clowns and make nyra stewards look good
