Saratoga '06 seat prices set

The New York Racing Association will introduce uniform pricing for clubhouse and grandstand reserved seats at Saratoga in 2006.

In the past, NYRA had two price levels in both areas. The new policy means one price for all clubhouse seats and one price for all grandstand seats.

"We decided to take a two-tier pricing system and simplify it," said Jerry Davis, NYRA's director of admissions and parking.

With the change, some prices will increase while others will decrease. In the clubhouse, weekday seats (defined as Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday) will cost $10. This year, they were $9 and $12. Weekend clubhouse seats (Friday through Sunday) will be $15. This year, they were $12 and $15.

In the grandstand, weekday seats will be $6. They were $6 and $7 this year. On weekends, they will cost $8. The 2005 prices were $7 and $8.

The exception is Travers Day, when clubhouse seats will be $25. They were $22 to $25 this year. Grandstand seats will be $18; they were $17 and $18 this year.

Current full-season ticket holders have the opportunity to renew under the new prices. Tickets not sold on a season basis will available to the public for individual-day purchase.
