Santiva relocated to Swifty Farms in Indiana

Grade 2 winner Santiva has relocated to Swifty Farms in Seymour, Ind., where he will stand for an advertised fee of $3,000.

The 6-year-old son of Giant’s Causeway previously stood at War Horse Place in Lexington, Ky., where he began his stallion career in 2013 and stood for $7,500.

Bred in Kentucky by Paget Bloodstock and campaigned by Tom Walters, Santiva won one of 10 starts for earnings of $266,097. He won his maiden when taking the Grade 2 Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs and earned runner-up finishes in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Futurity and the Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes.

Santiva is out of the unraced Smarten mare Slide, whose eight winners from 11 foals to race also include Grade 2-placed Her Majesty and Take Arms. He is from the family of champion sprinter Safely Kept, Grade 2 winner and sire Partner’s Hero, and recent Grade 3 winner Vinceremos.
