Santa Anita: String of favorites in $5,014 pick six; $108,893 jackpot carryover for Sunday

ARCADIA, Calif.- The $2 pick six paid $5,014 at Santa Anita on Saturday, a day in which four favorites obliged.

Because there were multiple winning tickets sold, the carryover provision in the single ticket jackpot pool increased to $108,893 for Sunday’s program.

There was no carryover in the main pick six pool going into Saturday’s program. There was a carryover of $85,520 in the single ticket pool in Saturday’s program.

The winners of Saturday’s pick six races were Divine Spark ($3), Slasher ($8.80), Texas Two Step ($6.60), Gormley ($5.20), Skye Diamonds ($6.60), and Blue Tone ($15.20).

Divine Spark, Slasher, Texas Two Step, and Skye Diamonds were favored. Gormley was the second choice.

Consolation tickets with five winners on Saturday paid $35.

With the addition of the single ticket provision at the winter-spring meeting, 70 percent of the net pool is dedicated to tickets with six winners, or into a carryover; 15 percent is paid to consolation tickets; and 15 percent is paid to a single ticketholder, or into a carryover pool until there is a single winning ticket, or a mandatory payout day.
