Santa Anita: Single ticket carryover of nearly $500,000 for Thursday's pick six

ARCADIA, Calif. - The single ticket jackpot carryover pool has reached $496,486 at Santa Anita after 98 ticketholders hit the pick six on Sunday.

The carryover sum is certain to attract attention for Thursday’s eight-race program, the next day of live racing.

The final race of Sunday’s pick six was decided in the stewards’ room. Passed by Paul, the 8-5 favorite, finished first in a maiden claimer, but was disqualified and placed second behind Edwards Going Left ($6). The stewards ruled in a unanimous decision that Passed by Paul interfered with Edwards Going Left in the final furlong.

The other winners in the pick six races were Liar’s Smoker ($8), Uninvited ($4.60), Fabulous Lady ($3.80), Skye Diamonds ($3.60), and Place des Vosges ($8.80). Uninvited, Fabulous Lady, and Skye Diamonds were favored.

Consolation tickets with five winners on Sunday were worth $42.

Sunday’s pick six began with a carryover of $126,168 in the main pool and $413,075 in the single ticket jackpot pool. Bettors added $728,615 to the pool on Sunday.

The single ticket jackpot pool will be paid in the event there is a single winning ticket. The single ticket pool has not been hit in 19 racing days, since Feb. 20.
