Email

ARCADIA, Calif. - There are two carryovers in Sunday’s pick six at Santa Anita - $126,168 in the main pick six pool and $413,075 in the single ticket jackpot pool.

The carryover was clinched when Itsinthepost ($15.60) won Saturday’s final race, the Grade 2 San Luis Rey Stakes. Going into the race, Ashleyluvssugar, the 6-5 favorite, was covered in the single ticket pool and would have produced a payoff of $539,244 with a win. Ashleyluvssugar led to the turn but faded to finish third.

The two carryovers in the pick six on Sunday are likely to lead to a pool of new money in excess of $700,000.

The single ticket pool has not been hit in 18 racing days, since Feb. 20. The single ticket portion of the pool will be paid out only if there is one winning ticket in the pick six.

Saturday’s program began with a carryover of $386,039 in the single ticket portion of the pool. Bettors added $236,170.

The winners of Saturday’s pick six races were Sky Preacher ($9), Buy Me a Drink ($9.60), Helen Hillary ($106.40), What’sontheagenda ($6.20), Curlin Road ($7), and Itsinthepost. What’sontheagenda was the only winning favorite.
