ARCADIA, Calif.- The pick six paid $115,418 at Santa Anita on Sunday on a day when interest in the bet was the highest of the year following a seven-figure carryover from Saturday’s Breeders’ Cup program.

The winner of Sunday’s pick six races were Dortmund ($4.20), Lady Lake ($55.40), Lamazone ($29.40), Global Hottie ($7.60), Filimbi ($5.20), and Cautious Giant ($15.40). Dortmund and Filimbi were favored. Global Hottie was the second choice in the eighth race.

Consolation tickets with five winners paid $571. There were 35 winning tickets in the pick six, and 2,007 winning consolation tickets.

The pool began with a carryover of more than $1.3 million from Saturday. Bettors added $5,009,938 to the pool. Sunday was the closing day of the track’s autumn meeting, meaning the pool had to be distributed.

I am suprised that the Breeders Cup does not demand that all exoctic wagers are paid out on Saturday.

The spoils of yesterday's plunder combined with today's foolhardy hopes that maybe the game isn't really rigged. If yesterday's blatant cheating didn't convince you then nothing ever will.
