Email

ARCADIA, Calif.- Monday’s pick six at Santa Anita will begin with a carryover of $18,918 in the single ticket jackpot pool.

Sunday, the $2 pick six was hit for $32,222 by three ticketholders. Because there were multiple winning tickets, the single ticket portion of the pool went into effect, creating the single ticket jackpot carryover.

The winners of Sunday’s pick six races were Basinca ($6), Got Even ($15.40), Infobedad ($7.60), Squared Squared ($21.60), Midnight Storm ($3.20), and Bobby G ($13.80). Basinca and Midnight Storm were favored.

Monday’s nine-race program begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific. The pick six covers the fourth through ninth races. The entire program has solid field sizes with 10, 10, 8, 10, 10, 12, 8, 10, and 13 entrants.

There are two early scratches, both in pick six races. In the fourth race, Dumont will not run in a maiden claimer at a mile for 3-year-old fillies. In the seventh race, Touching Rainbow is withdrawn from an optional claimer for California-bred sprinters.

With the addition of the single ticket provision at the winter-spring meeting, 70 percent of the net pool is dedicated to tickets with six winners, or into a carryover; 15 percent is paid to consolation tickets; and 15 percent is paid to a single ticketholder, or into a carryover pool until there is a single winning ticket, or a mandatory payout day.
