Santa Anita: Pick six jackpot carryover of $134,808 for Saturday


ARCADIA, Calif. – The pick six paid $4,313 at Santa Anita on Friday to multiple ticketholders, leaving a carryover of $134,808 in the single-ticket jackpot pool for Saturday’s 11-race program.

The single-ticket provision of the pick six has not been hit in nine racing days since Feb. 20. The single-ticket portion of the pool is paid out only if there is a single winning ticket in the pick six.

Friday’s pick six began with a carryover of $124,640 from Thursday. Bettors added $88,821 to the pick-six pool on Friday.

The winners of Friday’s pick-six races were Private Terrace ($11.60), Causa ($9), Illuminant ($4.20), Gentrified ($3.60), Princess Karen ($9), and Pearl de Vere ($12.80). Illuminant and Gentrified were favored.

Consolation tickets with five winners were worth $51.40.

Saturday’s pick six covers the sixth through 11th races on an 11-race program that begins at noon Pacific. The pick six is full of quality races, with an optional claimer on turf, a maiden race for 3-year-olds, and four consecutive stakes – the Grade 1 Triple Bend Stakes for sprinters, Grade 1 Frank Kilroe Mile on turf, Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap, and $75,000 China Doll Stakes for 3-year-old fillies at a mile on turf.
