Santa Anita pick six carryover of $88,698 for Sunday


ARCADIA, Calif. - There is a pick six carryover of $88,698 at Santa Anita on Sunday.

A win by 3-1 favorite Acute in Saturday’s ninth clinched the carryover. Acute outran 5-1 Swiss Bliss, who was covered in the pick six.

Sunday’s pick six covers the fourth through ninth races on a nine-race program. Post time is 1 p.m. Pacific with the first pick six race due off at 2:37 p.m.

There were early scratches on Saturday in two of Sunday’s pick six races.

In the fourth race, Two Blue Hens is withdrawn from a one-mile allowance race on turf. In the sixth race, Tombigbee is out of a maiden race for 2-year-olds on the hillside turf course.

The pick six races have fields of 7, 7, 12, 9, 10, and 12.

The top race of the day is the $70,000 Lure Stakes over a mile on turf. The field of 10 is open with My Best Brother (4-1), Huntsville (5-1) and El Commodore (5-1) among the contenders in a race where bettors are likely to spread selections.

The shortest-priced runner in the pick six races is expected to be Tiz the Truth, who is 9-5 on the morning line to win the fifth race, an allowance race over a mile.
