Santa Anita pick six carryover of $361,436 for Friday's program

ARCADIA, Calif.- For the second consecutive racing program, the pick six proved too tough to hit at Santa Anita on Thursday.

There are two rich carryovers in the pick six for Friday’s program - $361,436 in the main pool and $77,450 in the single ticket jackpot pool.

The winter-spring meeting began on Monday, a day in which there were no winning tickets in the pick six.

Friday’s pick six covers the third through eighth races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific.

The pool of new money in the pick six is likely to surpass $1.3 million.

For the first time at this meeting, Santa Anita has a pick six with a single ticket jackpot provision. Of the net pool, 70 percent is dedicated to tickets with six winners, or into a carryover; 15 percent is paid to consolation tickets; and 15 percent is paid to a single ticketholder, or into a carryover pool until there is a single winning ticket, or a mandatory payout day.

The winners of Thursday’s pick six races were Burn Me Twice ($8.60), Small Town Hero ($22), Shehastheritestuff ($10.60), Six Point Rack ($21.80), Willing to Travel ($10), and Miss Sugars ($14.60). There were no winning favorites in the pick six races.

Consolation tickets with five winners were worth $1,855.
