ARCADIA, Calif. – There is a two-day pick-six carryover of $156,250 for Sunday’s nine-race program at Santa Anita. A win by Cal Gal ($32) in Saturday’s 10th race for 2-year-old maiden sprinters on turf clinched the carryover. The pool of new money Sunday could reach $700,000. The pick six covers the fourth through ninth races on a program that begins at 1 p.m. Pacific. The first pick-six race is due off at 2:37 p.m. As of Saturday morning, there were early scratches in only one race. In the eighth race, a starter allowance over six furlongs for 2-year-olds, E Equalsmcsquared and Good Proof have been withdrawn, leaving a field of 11. There is one stakes in the pick-six sequence, the $100,000 Surfer Girl Stakes for 2-year-old fillies over a mile on turf, which is run as the seventh race. Clenor, the winner of the Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf at Del Mar last month, will be a strong favorite and will be a key selection on many pick-six tickets. There also is a carryover of $29,486 in the $1 super high five in Sunday’s ninth race. The final race is a maiden race over a mile on turf for California-breds.
