Game On Dude, the expected Breeders’ Cup Classic pacesetter, posted a solid five-furlong workout Tuesday at 9 a.m. at Santa Anita while in company with an unidentified workmate also trained by Bob Baffert.
Game On Dude broke off four lengths behind his workmate at the 4 1/2-furlong pole; they finished on even terms. Baffert timed Game on Dude in 58.80 seconds; clockers credited the 4-year-old with a half-mile work in 46.80, breezing.
Martin Garcia worked Game On Dude; Chantal Sutherland will ride him in the Breeders’ Cup. Sutherland has ridden Game On Dude four times, winning two Grade 1’s, including the Santa Anita Handicap and the Goodwood Stakes in his most recent start Oct. 1.

CLASSIC BRYCE went to the sidelines after tanking in the 2012 Canadian Triple Crown, and has worked solidly for a trainer who's begun the meet with a bang. The beautifully-bred son of Grand Slam is out of G2 turf stakes winner Classic Stamp, who's the dam of a grass winner. SEEKINGTHEDIAMOND ended a streak of seconditis when he romped in a recent maiden special around two turns on the grass at Churchill. The late bloomer possesses a fitness edge on most of these, and should be in the thick of the battle.
