ARCADIA, Calif. - The three-time stakes winner Comma to the Top has rejoined trainer Peter Miller’s stable and is expected to return to racing this fall.

Unraced since finishing 19th in the Kentucky Derby, Comma to the Top had a bone chip removed from an ankle last spring. Owned by a partnership, Comma to the Top has won 6 of 14 starts and $778,600. He won three consecutive stakes last fall at Hollywood Park – the Real Quiet Stakes, Grade 3 Generous Stakes on turf and Grade 1 CashCall Futurity – and was later second to Midnight Interlude in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby in April.

Comma to the Top has had two workouts since his return, including a three-furlong breeze in 37.40 seconds at Hollywood Park on Tuesday. “He’s about six weeks away,” Miller said.

Miller said the Grade 1 Malibu Stakes for 3-year-olds over seven furlongs at Santa Anita in late December is a goal “if we can get a race into him,” he said. “He looks fantastic.”
