Email

The Sanan family’s Padua Stables near Ocala, Fla., will go on the auction block May 31.

The Padua property covers more than 760 acres and is a training center and breeding farm. Satish Sanan and his wife, Anne, who have owned the former Silverleaf Farm property since 1997, decided back in 2007 to sell the farm and move their operation’s base to Kentucky as part a renewed emphasis on homebreeding.

The Florida farm initially was listed for $35 million, but a more recent listing carried a $24.95 million price tag. The farm includes 11 barns with a total of 202 stalls, a three-quarter-mile dirt track and one-mile turf course, executive offices, and an eight-bedroom main house, and guest and staff housing, among other features.

The J.P. King auction company out of Gadsden, Ala., will conduct the auction at the farm on May 31. J.P. King will offer private tours of the property by appointment starting May 18.
