Grade 3 winner Rydilluc has been retired from racing to stand at Haras San Patricio in Santiago, Chile. The 4-year-old son of Medaglia d’Oro finished his career with four wins in nine career starts for earnings of $486,490, highlighted by victories in the Grade 3 Palm Beach Stakes and the Penn Mile Stakes, both on turf. Gary Contessa trained Rydilluc for a partnership. Bred in Kentucky by Hill ‘n’ Dale Equine Holdings and Gaines-Gentry Thoroughbreds, Rydilluc is out of the stakes-winning Clever Trick mare Swift and Classy, whose six winners from 11 foals to race also includes stakes winner Gold Wonder and stakes-placed runners Dangerous Guy and Whambam. He is from the family of Silvery Swan, the dam of Grade 1 winners and notable sires Roman Ruler and El Corredor, along with Grade 3 winner Silver Tornado and Grade 1-placed Maimonides. Rydilluc’s family also includes Grade 1-placed Sociable Duck and Grade 3 winner Seducer’s Song.
